I refer to our return journey from Up North Up North to God's own county.
Traffic on the A1 was heavy again but at least it kept moving. Usually we would come off close to Newark but there was a heck of a tailback to get off and across a roundabout. So we decided to take the next turning a mile further on which went through a village and missed out all the traffic. This is the same route that we take to get onto the A1 although we do justify going through the village of Coddington by stopping at the local pub for coffee and crisps.
Much of today's blog consists of photographs of York. I hope you enjoy some of them, particularly if you are acquainted with the city.
